In order to create this widget we had to construct it first in illustrator. we were given the dimensions of the widget had to be and from there just extruded to the right widths and drew directly as shown. From their you have to export to fusion 360 and create your tool path. Once there you have to save your g-code on to a flash drive and put the h-drive in to the mill. You will grab a 5 inch long piece of material and use the double sided tape to put your material securely down. Next you must move the drill bit to an edge of your project so it can correctly cut out your widget. Then run the machine and you are ready to go.
I learned a lot from this project because I got directions to follow on how to build this widget and I learned how to operate illustrator much easier and quickly. I also got to run and control the mill which was a very cool experience as well.
